Keri Belle (Empire Maker) surged to the lead in the final furlong and just held off the late rallies of Stormy Lucy (Stormy
Atlantic) and Theatre Star (War Front) to earn the first graded success of her career in the GIII Megahertz S. at Santa Anita Monday.  Keri Belle rallied five wide turning for home and, once straightened out at the top of the lane, powered to the front.  “Coming out of the gate I took hold,” explained winning rider Alex Solis, who also rode the talented Megahertz. “They went fast so it pushed her back even more, but it worked out well because she was relaxed.” Owner and breeder Jerry Moss added, “She’s a lovely horse, she’s really something, very pretty.
