11-4-0-2, $227,833. Werk Nick Rating: A+++. .

Tiz Windy, whose owner/breeder passed away in June at age 90, found her best stride late in the game
here to power past favored Unbridled Forever and earn a first graded stakes victory by daylight. The dark bay
broke her maiden sixth out at Gulfstream in March, and cleared her first-level condition in Louisville in May.
Third later that month back under the Twin Spires, she was fourth in the sloppy GIII Iowa Oaks June 28. Tiz
Windy most recently took a Churchill optional claimer by 4 3/4 lengths Sept. 13, and was flattered earlier
Saturday when the third-place finisher from that heat Courageous Julie (Pioneerof the Nile) score in a
Keeneland allowance. Settled off the pace early, the homebred followed favorite Unbridled Forever's wide
move on the far turn and swooped past that rival in midstretch to draw away. The winner's stakes-winning
second dam is a full-sister to Tafel's champion 3-year old filly and five-time Grade I winner Banshee Breeze.
Tafel and Hall of Fame conditioner Carl Nafzger partnered to take this race in 2001 when it was held at
Hoosier Park.

Breeder Jim Miller won the 1st race at Keeneland on Friday.

1st-KEE, $55,620, Msw, 3yo/up, 1 1/16m, 1:43 4/5, my.
RACE DAY (c, 3, Tapit--Rebalite, by More Than Ready), third behind a pair of next-out winners sprinting at Ellis
Aug. 8, was a distant second to Mesoma (Flatter)--the runner-up from his debut--under identical circumstances
Aug. 29. Given a 7-2 chance while making a twosprints-to-route move that his trainer excels at, the grey
drafted in behind the first flight early before tucking into the pocket down the backstretch while a bit keen.
Clearly full of run, but without room to stretch his legs passing along the home bend, Race Day sliced into the
clear passing the quarter pole and was ridden out by Rosie Napravnik to win by 4 1/4 lengths. Aces High
(Flower Alley) completed the exacta. The winner is a half to Banded (Bandini), MSP, $153,721. His dam is a
half to Lite Light, whose four wins at the highest level included the 1991 Kentucky Oaks. Sales history:
$120,000 RNA yrl '12 KEESEP. Lifetime Record: 3-1-1-1, $43,650.
O-WinStar Farm LLC. B-James Miller (KY). T-Kellyn Gorder.

O/B John & Jerry Amerman won an allowance race at Woodbine on Friday.

8th-WOX, $64,342, Alw, NW1X, 3yo/up, f/m, 7f (AWT), 1:22, ft.
BUREAU DE CHANGE (f, 3, Exchange Rate--Fencelineneighbor {GSW, $612,588}, by Wild Rush)
justified 6-5 favoritism when she aired by 4 3/4 lengths going a furlong shorter here Aug. 30, and made 5-2
look like a gift this time as she overcame a difficult trip to remain unbeaten. Well-held throughout by Luis
Contreras, the Amerman homebred dropped all the way back to last as they hit the top of the straight. She was
just getting started, however, and catapulted past rivals with an impressive turn-of-foot down the center of the
course to reel in pacesetter Dancing Ashley (Olmodavor) by a neck. There was an 8 1/2-length gap
back to third. According to Trakus, the winner covered 23 ft. (approx. 2 3/4 lengths) more than the runner-up,
and got her final furlong in a swift :11.63. Bureau de Change is a half to Nextdoorneighbor (Lido Palace
{Chi}), GSP, $174,499; and Barbie Wire (Tapit), SW, $108,400. Her dam Fencelineneighbor was a private
purchase in 2003, and did her best running in the Amerman silks under the care of Michael Machowsky,
including a close second in the 2004 GII La Canada S. and a win in the 2005 GIII Gorgonio H.
Fencelineneighbor sold to Gainesway last year at Keeneland November for $150,000 carrying a Candy
Ride (Arg) colt. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $62,347.
