RIA ANTONIA (Lynn Schiff breeder) finished 6th, AURELIA'S BELLE (Jim Miller owner) finished 9th, both fillies came out of the race well.  It was a beautiful Lilies day with sunshine and lots of celebration. 

John & Jerry Amerman also had a winner on Saturday @ Churchill Downs with 2000 f. COFFEE CLIQUE in the G2 Churchill Distaff Turf Mile S.  The Amerman's 2011 colt SCHOOLOFHARDROCKS finished 2nd in the Desert Code Stakes @ Santa Anita. Both of these outstanding racehorses are out of their mare MISS CHAPIN.

AGELESS (Successful Appeal/Special One) owned by our friends/clients, Roy & Gretchen Jackson (Lael Stable) won the Giant's Causeway Stakes, $100,000 @ Keeneland on Saturday. "It's been a while since we had a winner here", said Roy Jackson.  "It's always great to win a race here because it is so competitive.  We're thrilled."  Nicoma Bloodstock purchased AGELESS on behalf of Lael Stable in 2010 at the Keeneland Sept. Sale.

On Friday evening at the Sovereign Awards, RIA ANTONIA (Rockport Harbor/Beer Baroness) bred by Lynn Schiff's Clover Hill Farm won the 2013 Champion 2 Year Old Filly award.  Mill Ridge Sales sold the filly for Lynn Schiff in 2012 at the Fasig Tipton October Sale.

Also, on Friday at Oaklawn Park, STANWYCK (Empire Maker/Set Them Free) O/B Jerry & Ann Moss finished 3rd in the G1 Apple Blossom.

At Keeneland on Saturday, Canadian Champion 2 yr. old OCCASIONAL VIEW (Silver Deputy/Celebrate) B-George Strawbridge Jr. won the Commonwealth S - G111.

CALIFORNIA CHROME won the Santa Anita Derby (G1), next race The Kentucky Derby on May 3.

RIA ANTONIA finished 2nd in the Santa Anita Oaks (G1) beaten by 2 lengths, she is a Kentucky Oaks contender.

The racing season is in full swing and on Saturday at Santa Anita Park we have friends/clients that will be participating.

Our friend/client, Jim Miller won the Bourbonette Oaks on Saturday with his filly AURELIA'S BELLE.  Nicoma Bloodstock purchased this filly on behalf of Jim Miller at the 2012 Keeneland Sept. Sale for $170,000.  According to AURELIA'S BELLE's trainer, Wayne Catalano, her next stop is the Kentucky Oaks.
