Nancy Dillman
It’s a wonderful business if you have the support of a farm like Mill Ridge … everyone works together as a team, and they do a terrific job in terms of guiding you and communicating with you. I love working on the matings for my mares with Headley Bell. Nancy Dillman

Nancy’s story with Mill Ridge first began when she sent her mare Cacti to visit the farm’s stallion Diesis in 1984. The resulting foal was named Diminuendo who won the Epsom Oaks as a three year old and named Champion filly in Europe in 1988.Nancy Dillman’s most recent success is 2011 Horse of the Year, HAVRE DE GRACE, who was the result of a mating advised by Headley to Easter Bunnette, a mare purchased by Nicoma Bloodstock on behalf of Nancy in 2003.

John Chandler

Few Thoroughbred breeders have made such an impact as a breeder from one mare than has Dr. John Chandler and his mare Pharlette (FR). Purchased from Keeneland November 1983, Pharlette (FR) was not the most imposing daughter of Pharly (FR). In fact his wife Alice, Syndicate Manager for Diesis, refused him a Diesis farm season since she found Pharlette so unathletic in appearance and lacking in pedigree! Thus he had to use his Diesis share season as there wasn’t another available!

Alice Chandler’s love of the horse and dedication to the Thoroughbred industry should be an inspiration to all. She has given tirelessly to the industry and to her clients. We are privileged and honored to call her “friend.” John and Jerry Amerman

Meeting in the mid-90’s through longtime friend and client Bobby Frankel the Amerman’s have been clients ever since. Finding great pleasure in racing, they have maintained a limited broodmare band, highlighted by Balance; their multiple Grade 1 winning mare. However, Balance may best be known as the older sister of America’s sweetheart Zenyatta. Yet Balance has made headlines herself, after racing, as the dam of the 2010 Keeneland September sale topping colt Mr. Besilu.

Sharpen Up (GB) - Doubly Sure (GB), by Reliance II

He represented everything one considers in a stallion… class, speed, but also the ability to stay, good conformation, and the ability to improve his mares. Gone West has left a lasting legacy through his sons and daughters, and a line of influence.
