During the mid and early 2000’s there were few great races that didn’t include the baby blue colors of Pam and Martin Wygod. The team at Mill Ridge was privileged to associate with many of their great horses; SWEET CATOMINE, 2004 Champion Two Year Old Filly and winner of 2004 Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic; OCTAVE, multiple G1 winner of over $1.65 million including Mother Goose S. G1. In 2007 she sold at Fasig-Tipton November Sale for $4 million; LIFE IS SWEET, 2009 winner of Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic G1; HARMONIOUS, multiple G1 winner including Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup S G1. She sold at Keeneland in November 2012 for $2.8 million.
Our Mill Ridge Sales agent was also fortunate in 2005 to sell on the Wygod's behalf the 2004 colt STORM CAT/TRANQUILITY LAKE at Keeneland September for $9.7 million. This was the third-highest price in history for a sale yearling eclipsed only by $13.1 million a son of Nijinsky in 1985 and $10.2 million for a son of Northern Dancer in 1983.
