A Strong Showing for Aloha West Two-Year-Olds at the OBS March Sale

The first ALOHA WEST two-year-olds made a solid impression at the OBS March Sale, averaging $100,000 and bringing up to 21 times their stud fee.

The top result came from Hip 250, offered by Hoppel LLC. The filly breezed a sharp quarter in 20.4 and sold for $210,000 toMaddie Mattmilleron day one.

Session two brought another standout when Hip 445, consigned by Top Line Sales, was purchased for $200,000 by MyRacehorse and trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. after a sharp 9.4 breeze.

These early results have added to the anticipation for Aloha West’s first crop to reach the starting gate later this year.

Aloha West is standing at Mill Ridge Farm for $6,500 LF, or two mares for $5,000 each, and is part of the Ride Together Incentive Program where the registered breeder of a live foal earns a free season if the offspring wins a straight maiden race as a 2-or 3-year-old.
