Mill Ridge Homebred Wins the $2,000,000 Gun Runner Stakes

In a striking upset, PLENSA rallied down the stretch to win the $2,000,000 Gun Runner Stakes on September 6, 2025 at Kentucky Downs. Trained by Rusty Arnold and ridden by Florent Geroux, Plensa broke from post six at odds 22-1. The final time for the one-mile turf contest over a “good” course was 1:33.51.

Plensa is a homebred for Mill Ridge Farm and Frank Garrison, and this marks his first stakes victory. [Watch the race replay below]
