Slumber caught the rest of the field napping in the $1 million Knob Creek Manhattan Stakes (G1) at Belmont Park and kicked home to win in dramatic fashion by 2 3/4 lengths. The 7-year-old son of Cacique owned in partnership by Michael Dubb, Sheep Pond Partners, and Bethlehem Stables has not won since August of 2013, but had placed second in two graded stakes earlier this year. The final time was 2:01.23 over a turf course rated good
Slumber was bred in Great Britain by Millsec Limited, a division of Prince Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms. Slumber is out the unraced Woodman mare Sound Asleep. The horse is her first stakes winner out of six horses of racing age.
